  Our church

Saint Joseph Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church is a member of the one original church founded by Jesus Christ. The Orthodox church maintains the rich traditions and teachings passed down since its establishment by Christ. Please join us and partake in the teachings, traditions, and beauty of the Orthodox Church.

Please take a moment to browse our ONLINE STORE! All proceeds go to supporting our church!

Friendly Reminders:

- Kitchen Committee meets next Sunday after Liturgy.

- St. Tabitha/St. Philip meet Sat. May 24th at 3:30pm and 5:00pm, respectively. St. Philip will study On the Holy Fathers of Sketis, by St. John Cassian—this is the last class until the fall.

- Reminder from Fr. Matthew: We have been given palms, flowers, eggs (shells), and oil wands; please bury or burn these holy items to return them to the earth. Do NOT throw them away in the trash!

- SOYO: Thank you to Eddie & Melissa Brega for taking the teens to Laser Tag last Sunday; everyone got *zapped* and had a great time!

- Lenten Coin Boxes: Please return the white & purple coin boxes so we can give the money collected to the poor! (Fr. Matthew needs someone to collect the boxes and count the money.)

- Newsletter: Please see Larry Monks about submitting articles for our next newsletter.

- Priests’ Retirement Fund: If you would like to make a donation to this fund through the Antiochian Women, please see Margaret Vranesevich. Thank you for your generous remembrance of those who care for us.

- Parish Life Conference: Flyers are available in the Parish Hall; the date is June 18-21 in Dallas, at the Hilton. Reservations may be made by calling 800-245-3304.

- Picture Time: Eddie & Melissa Brega are taking family pictures for a “homemade” church photo directory. Please look for them in the Parish Hall, and smile!

- Agape Vespers on the Web: For a video of the Gospel reading at this year's Agape Vespers service, visit the web page:  saintjameskids.blogspot.com/2008/05/agape-vespers.html.

- Feeding the Hungry: Please bring in your gifts of non-perishable food for the hungry in our community. Place your gifts in the baskets in the hallway of the Parish Hall. It is also time to pick up a purple & white Lenten box for your loose change during Lent.

- Your prayers are requested for catechumens Tammy, Taylor, & Martina, and Salvador; and for Elena, who is suffering from cancer; and for Sylvia Zychowski’s father Albert, who has passed away (may his memory be eternal) and the Zychowski family.
